went to the whale bone surf fest a couple of months back staying with good friend kent turkich of insectsurf .
(check out his blog , his a very stylish surfer nd gifted writer, look out timmy winton).
here he is about to commence his semi final heat,
in not so friendly on shore slop. he made it to the water but bombed out .( disqualified for to many random head cocks on one wave)
watching all go out in these conditions made me grateful my minimalistic approach to surfing was not appreciated in the early heats
